Detailing and wrap shop software for multi-day jobs.

Four days, four techs, one order. Detailing and wrap work does not fit in a slot. It runs across days, changes hands, and every task has its own timer. ShopHawk keeps it as one work order instead of five loose jobs.

Five loose jobs is how this gets lost. When the detail is one ticket and the wrap is another, the hours never add up and nobody can say which task ran long or went back for rework.

Wraps

The finish changes the job, not just the colour.

Chrome and gloss are not the same job. Set each finish up as its own variation, with its own price and duration. Put two finishes on one proposal as options, and the customer picks one.

Gloss is the easy one. It stretches and it forgives a bad pull, so its variation gets the shortest duration.

Detailing

A truck detail is not a coupe detail.

Set up each detail package as a service variation for the vehicle types it fits. When the price changes with the area, add coverages under it, each with its own price and duration. The invoice prints the variation and the coverage under the service name.

Due time

Late shows up before it is late.

A wrap on an SUV takes longer than a wrap on a coupe. ShopHawk estimates each task by service and vehicle sub-type, and can set the expected delivery from that estimate. Drag the clock and watch the board card change colour.

Due Day 4, 17:00 · WO-000162
The card on the board counts down to the expected delivery. It turns amber inside the last hour and red once it is late.

Amber is the warning, red is the miss. An hour out there is still time to call the customer, not explain it when they are already at the desk.

Green. The card reads In 2h, with more than an hour to go.

Where the estimate comes from

A wrap on an SUV is not a wrap on a coupe. ShopHawk learns each service by vehicle sub-type. After 5 past jobs for the same service and sub-type, the range is from shop history. Before that, it is from owner defaults.
